Faculty Housing

Thacher's faculty must be available, connected, and willing to immerse themselves in the 'round the clock demands of boarding school life. This interaction can only happen when faculty live on campus. The quality and availability of housing on campus is also critical to recruiting and retaining top faculty.

Currently, Thacher does not have enough homes for its entire faculty and lacks houses of sufficient size to accommodate the families many experienced faculty bring with them. In order to benefit our students and to recruit and retain top faculty, the plan calls for replacement of four existing sub-standard houses and building four additional houses. To date, two homes have been completed.

The cost per home varies depending on location and size but will average $500,000.
