The Commons Project
The Commons Project, consisting of a Student Center and Performing Arts Building, is now complete.
The Student Center, now named “The Thacher Commons,” is Thacher’s first building designed for a coeducational program. The building’s game room, living room area, formal meeting room, bookstore, mailroom, and patio are all designed to be inviting spaces for Thacher’s entire community -- female and male, adolescent and adult.
The Performing Arts Building provides a new home for Thacher’s performing arts program, housing a 450-seat theater, a dance studio, a choral practice space, and multiple practice rooms. This space has received rave reviews from both Thacher and visiting performers.
